Route Tag2Tag pre-downloads map tiles for selected regions at zoom levels 10 through 17, storing them in compressed SQLite databases. The system intelligently manages storage by prioritizing frequently accessed areas and automatically clearing oldest unused tiles when device space drops below 500MB. Offline routes remain fully functional with complete tag interaction, elevation profiles, and distance calculations operating purely from cached data without network dependency.
